**Like many of our other lovely animals, sweet Buddy Love is currently living in a foster home. If you’d like to learn more about him and set up a meeting, please email KSwanson@cityofberkeley.info. Thank you for your patience during this time. We really appreciate your support!**
Meet Buddy Love! Here’s what his foster family has to say about this handsome senior gentleman:
Buddy Love is looking for someone with a heart as big as his. This senior pup, affectionately known as an “elderbull”, spent the first 11 years of his life living in a backyard. He’s looking forward to making up for lost time in his golden years! Buddy Love wants to be with people — from neighborhood walks, to supervising kitchen duties, to lounging while you read a book or watch TV.
Buddy Love’s ideal adopter will have experience, patience, and time to help him through the transition into his forever home. He has dealt with a lot of change recently, which has been hard on him. Plus, his recent hearing loss has also made life more challenging. He loves routine, cuddles, meal time, and his walkies. But don’t let his age fool you — Buddy Love will happily stroll the town with you for 30-60 minutes a couple times a day.
He’s already house trained and currently lives well in a foster home with an older, female dog and parrot, but he might prefer to be the only animal in his new home. He also has experience with young children and has earned his nickname “Buddy Bear” for his teddy bear-like qualities (gentle, caring, loyal).
